Group Exhibition “Suit” at Warehouse Gallery in Brooklyn, New York

I’m very pleased to be part of another exhibition! The Warehouse Gallery based in Brooklyn, New York presents some of my work in their newest show ‚Suit‘. Lesley and Kamau Ware opened the gallery in November 2013 and Lesley (www.thecreativecookie.com) is also the author of a wonderful book I’m currently illustrating. It’s a guide about style and sewing for young girls and will be published by Laurence King early 2015.
The exhibition runs until March 8th, so make sure to come around if you are in New York!

Illustration Now! Fashion

Another wonderful new publication by TASCHEN: ‘Illustration Now! Fashion’ presents the work of 90 contemporary fashion illustrators and I’m very happy to be one of them!

“Every dress begins with a drawing, every skirt with a sketch. Illustration is integral to fashion design not only as a means of expression, and the starting point of every design, but also for patterns and prints as well as magazine editorial illustrations. Often, artists will even illustrate the newest looks directly from the catwalks. VALENTINO / Valentina Acqua Floreale Illustration Project

I’m quite excited to show some new work I made for Valentino! I was asked to create a series of illustrations interpreting Valentino’s Acqua Floreale fragrance, inspired by the beautiful design of the bottle and Freja Beha Erichsen, the campaign model. Along with the beautiful work of Bernadette Pascua (Decade Diary) and Kelly Smith (Birdy and me) the illustrations are featured on the Valentino Parfums website and on the brand’s social media channels.
